Blogger, is a blog publishing system. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. The service itself is located at www.blogger.com, and blogs published are hosted by Google at subdomains of blogspot.com.

Getting Started With Blogger

Setting Up Your Blog
Setting up a Blogger account takes three easy steps. Create an account, name your blog, and choose a template.You can choose your blog name by checking its availability. You can also host multiple blogs with the same account name.

Hosting Your Blog
Blogger will host your blog for free on blogspot.com. You can also use Blogger by redirecting from any web hosting service with your own domain name or you can also get a custom domain from blogger. It can be shifted to another domain at any instance. FTP server can be published through blogger.

Posting
Once your blog is set up, Blogger has a basic WYSIWYG editor and an Updated editor with many options like text formatting, hyperlinking etc. You can add pictures, videos and links directly from the editor itself. This is the special feature provided by the blogger. You can invite your friends, family or any one to write for your blog. The invited persons are called guest authors and you can also grant them 'Admin' privileges to manage your blog.

By using blog tools, you can import, export or delete your blog. Posts and comments published on one blog can be easily imported to another. Date and time of the posts remains unchanged. By using this feature you can backup your blog at any time.
